I live in Bedford with my wife and soul mate, Kirsten. I'm 46 years old. I'm a movement teacher, leader, tennis coach and accidental ultra marathon runner.
As a MovNat certified L2 Trainer, my practise is rooted in groundwork, movement patterns, balance, agility and climbing skills. My studies in Fighting Monkey & the Ferus Animi // Terra Nova movement collective have widened the lens on complexity, co-ordinations and efficiency that seek to redefine the relationship we have with ourselves and the environment that surrounds us. .
My movement journey includes tennis [obviously], old-man parkour, skateboarding, surfing, martial arts and yoga which has rooted an exploratory and playful approach to my practise. This journey hasn’t been plain sailing – I spent 18 months with an acute back injury that forced me to revaluate what moving meant to me which you can read about here.
I am a recent convert to trail running. I absolutely love it. I guess I can kind of call myself an ultra-marathon runner since meeting Matt Bagwell and accidentally ran 2x back-to-back ultra marathons with him as part of his epic run in 2021.
I am working to be the best person I can by soaking up all the good stuff that’s out there, going inwards to reflect and connecting with incredible people & nature. Saying “Yes, why not?” has helped me do this more and more.
WHY AM I HERE?
I see physical movement as a way of exploring our true nature - to evolve physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. Through a life-time of work as a coach and 20 years leading a large tennis coaching team, I understand the power of language and the ability to spark improvement through a growth mindset, curiosity and play. I am truly privileged to do what I do day in – day out.
Alongside my coaching and movement work, I work with Love Trails Festival to curate their movement & talks programme, coach a TeamGB wheelchair tennis player and lead a specialist Neuro & Physical Diversity tennis programme with a vision to break down barriers to sport and create valuable connections for those who need it most.
I am at my happiest rolling about on the floor or running trails in forests supported by a musical soundtrack that connects deeply to my soul.
There is limitless potential in all of us – we just might need a little help from someone else to shine a torch in the right direction or lift up a slab or two for us to peer underneath.
I can’t wait to meet you.
Neil x
Theo, Lovetrails Co-founder.
I live in Shoreham-by Sea with my amazing wife, Michelle. I have two beautiful daughters who are both spreading their wings now.
I'm a coach. There’s lots of words that people use to prefix “coach” - like Business, Performance, Transformational… I combine many of these areas to support people who want to optimise their professional and personal life. I’m also an Advanced Oxygen Advantage™ Breathwork Instructor, teaching people how to breathe better, from everyday individuals like myself, to elite athletes to huge teams and companies. if you'd like to find out more about the benefits of breathing, check out my website, here.
Movement has always been a part of my life; I ran to school for years, I ran away from people who bullied me, and I cycled miles and miles to see my mates. In my young adult life, I ran faster and faster and did triathlons all over Europe. Yes, I did Ironman (no tattoo).
I realised in my 50s I wasn't getting faster and harboured a knee injury so I decided to try going longer - into ultramarathons - and I'm hooked. You can find out about my Run the Country adventure, here.
WHY AM I HERE?
I live a very intentional life and movement is at the heart of that. Running is my mediation, and combined with everything else I practice, it is fundamental to my health and wellbeing.
I am very curious and want to share things I discover with others if I think it will help them reach their potential and optimise their live too.
I am at my happiest in the company of other beautiful beings and Neil is one of those. It's a joy to create something with him; nay excuse to hang out with this guy.
Let's go further, together.
Matt.
